Duration: 3.5hrs

Savour the Taste of Korea

Bibimbap and Beyond

Dive into the rich tapestry of Korean cuisine with our Korean Cooking Masterclass, inspired by my own journey through the flavours and traditions of Korea. My passion for Korean food was ignited during my student days, with countless lunches savoured in a small, welcoming Korean restaurant near my college. It was there that I fell in love with Bibimbap, a dish that has since become a symbol of comfort and nostalgia for me.

Years later, my appreciation for Korean culture deepened during a study period at Kyung Hee University in Seoul, where I immersed myself in the history of Korean Medicine. This experience allowed me to understand the intricate relationship between Korean cuisine and wellness, a connection that is deeply woven into the fabric of every meal.
In this class, we will explore the essence of Korean dining through the art of ‘banchan’ – a variety of small, vibrant dishes that accompany the main course, creating a balanced and harmonious meal.
The star of the class will be Bibimbap, the dish that first captured my heart. We’ll delve into the intricacies of this beloved meal, exploring each component, from the seasoned vegetables and beef and tofu to the perfectly cooked rice and the quintessential spicy sauce.

Join me as we explore the traditions and innovations of Korean cuisine, turning simple ingredients into a feast for the senses. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or new to Korean flavours, this class will provide a delightful and educational experience, steeped in the history and culture that have shaped my culinary path. Let’s embark on this delicious journey together.”

"Adventurous cooking and fun participation"

The Cooking Naturopath provides a relaxing and social environment for learning and sharing her love of tasty, healthy recipes. It was adventurous cooking and fun participation, with take home recipes (& leftovers). The “dinner party” to finish our cooking class was enjoyable with new friends & BYO wime. Highly recommend for recipe inspiration, a taste sensation, and a different way to spend a weekend afternoon.

"Would Highly recommend doing a class with Lisa!"

We attended the Sri Lankan cooking experience with Lisa yesterday and can truly say this was the most wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon with great food, great company and even learning a thing or 3 about cooking! We were so very welcomed into Lisa’s kitchen and heart and to share this experience with likeminded new friends was so worthwhile. Would highly recommend doing a class with Lisa!

The experience of cooking in a group is very enjoyable

The joy of sharing an afternoon with one of my favourite people – gifting this experience to my daughter-in-law was a great decision. Lisa caught us at the door with the delightful smells of herbs and spices. The experience of cooking in a group is very enjoyable. The flavours of the food has left me wanting more!
